Lecture

The third lecture will be held on Wednesday, November 25th at 7:00 PM with Synne Garff as the speaker. Synne Garff has written crime and thriller novels for both children and adults. As a priest and head of the Center for Faith, Loss, and Trauma, she has worked for the sick, dying, and their relatives in many parts of the world. The lecture is titled “The Tightrope Walkers of Death.” In the lecture, Synne Garff focuses on one of the most important ethical questions of our time: assisted dying. Drawing on her thriller “The Tightrope Walkers of Death,” she invites the audience into a thought-provoking lecture on assisted dying. Through powerful stories based on extensive research, she unfolds the ethical dilemmas that arise when life becomes painful and seems unbearable – and perhaps thereby invites a somewhat too easy conclusion.
